1/19/2010 Operational Updates

Rainier has retained BNY Mellon Asset Servicing to provide operational services to Rainier. We determined an outsourcing strategy allows the firm to further focus its attention on its core competencies: client service, research, portfolio management, and portfolio and trade compliance. BNY Mellon's services will free the existing Rainier staff to focus on value-added activities for our clients. At the same time, this solution provides Rainier with a flexible yet specialized service organization well-versed in the provision of operational services to the investment management community. We successfully implemented the transition during the year and began to use the reporting capabilities as of 4th quarter 2009.

Rainier is pleased to announce new initial investment minimums for the Rainier Funds. The initial investment for the Original Shares has been lowered to $2,500 and to $100,000 for the Institutional Shares. We have renamed two of our Portfolios for all share classes for the Funds. Effective February 20, 2007, the previous Core Equity Portfolio (RIMEX) & (RAIEX) is renamed Large Cap Equity Portfolio (same tickers) and Growth Equity Portfolio (RGROX) is renamed Large Cap Growth Equity Portfolio (same ticker). We have changed the names, but rest assured that we have not changed the way we manage the Portfolios or the Portfolio objectives. The team, philosophy, process and Portfolio construction are exactly the same as before the name change.
